Initially when I tried to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10, I clicked on the GetW10 icon to "Reserve your W10 free upgrade" the upgrade stopped due to Incompatible graphic card "NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150" drivers. LibreOffice shows a weird, garbled image where everything shows up simultaneously, manus overlap and later it crashes. That one I had in 'Doze sometimes when booting. Flatpack! Celluloid crashes immediately, the entire screen shows a weird pattern and the computer must be rebooted. Firefox works flawlessly, even with videos. When i open applications, it's a different thing. The menus of the OS are partly garbled, sometimes black triangles appear on the screen but well, it just works.

To my UTTER SURPRISE it worked! It princess about a few drivers missing but well, it even completed the upgrade to 20.3 without complaining.

I tried: Ubuntu Studio (fast crash, no mercy), Zorin 64 bit (No way to work with, graphic completely discombobulated) Xubuntu (Won't even load completely) and yesterdy, by acciden, I shoved a HD in with a working Linux Mint installation 20.2 from a laptop.

Except that I need a few things which will no longer work with 32 Bitters, I would be inclined to let it work.

I got myself Linunx and removed 'Doze from all four PCs.įunny observation: the above mentioned MSI Desktop works for hours in one piece with a 32 bit old Linux.

Last time I 'dozed, it would take one and a half hour to update and then close down my machine, claiming my license had expired and I'd better buy a new one. Good old 'Doze would work inifinitely long - if it would not crash for other reasons. On the other hand, I tried several Linux varieties with all the same result. The GPU overheating? I did not yet think about that, but I won't exclude that option. More info will follow, I am on another machine fttb.
